The UBA Committee Hosted the Event «BEB: Specifics of Detectives’ Work»

On December 4, 2024, Kyiv hosted a significant event organized by the Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). The event was dedicated to exploring the unique aspects of detective work at the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB).

The agenda covered several critical topics, including:

  • specifics of conducting criminal proceedings by BEB detectives;
  • approaches to defense in such cases;
  • strategies for countering BEB’s analytical products.

The discussion was moderated by Stanislav Boris, Deputy Chair of the UBA Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law Committee and Managing Partner at Vidar Law Firm.
The keynote speaker was Serhii Boiko, a member of the UBA Committee Council and Counsel at VB PARTNERS.

This event was part of the educational series  «Young Criminal Lawyer School», providing participants with practical insights, real-case studies, and an open platform to discuss challenges faced by legal practitioners in criminal cases involving BEB activities.
