Another Virtual Coffee Meeting by the UB International Law Committee
On June 11, 2025, the Ukrainian Bar Association’s International Law Committee held another virtual coffee session titled: “When Cooperation Breaks Down | Preparing for Self-Defense.”
The event brought together corporate lawyers, business representatives, and international law experts, who engaged in an open discussion on how to protect business interests during times of crisis and rising tension in partnerships.
The speakers — Olha Kuchmiienko, Committee Chair, attorney at law, Ph.D. in Law, and Viktoriia Ivasechko, Committee Board Member and Counsel at Redcliffe Partners — led an insightful conversation covering a number of key topics, including:
- how to identify early signs of emerging conflict;
- the importance of timely evidence collection;
- legal tools for safeguarding rights and business operations amid destabilization.
The event sparked lively discussion and active engagement from participants, who shared practical cases and expressed strong interest in further meetings of this kind.
This initiative is part of the Committee’s ongoing program aimed at supporting the legal and business communities in the international arena, and a logical continuation of previous projects such as the “International Law Club” and “International Law for Corporate Counsel.”
We sincerely thank all participants for their involvement and the warm atmosphere. Stay tuned for upcoming events from the UBA International Law Committee — many valuable discussions lie ahead!
