Digital transformation in law: UBA Committee held a virtual coffee meeting for lawyers and businesses

On November 17, 2025, the UBA International Law Committee successfully held another virtual coffee meeting dedicated to the topic of “Legal Analysis and Digital Transformation of Legal Work.”

The event brought together lawyers, business representatives, and experts from various fields, creating a space for open networking and discussion of the current challenges faced by professionals in today's digital environment.

The speakers at the event were:

Olga Kuchmienko, Chair of the UBA Committee on International Law, attorney at law, Ph.D. in Law;

Vladislav Bandrovsky, Deputy Chair of the Committee and senior associate at Sayenko Kharenko;

Viktoria Ivaschenko, member of the Committee Board, attorney at law and counsel at Redcliffe Partners.

The participants discussed how the role of lawyers is changing amid the growing influence of digital tools and artificial intelligence, and how to maintain a balance between technological speed and analytical depth. Key topics included:

•    smart structuring of legal research and analysis;

•    digital efficiency tools that help reduce routine work without compromising quality;

•    practical approaches to integrating AI and analytics into legal work.

Participants shared their own experiences with digital solutions and discussed the risks, opportunities, and future trends in the transformation of the legal profession.

The meeting continued the Committee’s broader initiatives, in particular the International Law Club and the International Law for Corporate Lawyers program, which have received positive feedback from both Ukrainian businesses and the international professional community.

The UBA International Law Committee plans to continue holding similar informal online meetings to bring professionals together and create a platform for the exchange of knowledge and practical solutions.
