UBA Committee held an event "Defense During the Selection of a Preventive Measure"

The UBA Committee on Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law held an event on November 6, 2024: «Defense During Preventive Measure Selection».

This event is the third lecture of the course «School of Young Criminal Lawyer» of the UBA Committee on Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law. To view the announcements of all events in this series, please follow this link.

The following issues were discussed:

preparing to defend a client when choosing a preventive measure (interviewing the client, studying the case file, collecting evidence, preparing objections)
important aspects for lawyers during the trial;
appealing against the chosen preventive measure;
opportunities for changing the preventive measure.

The event was moderated by Stanislav Borys, Deputy Chairman of the UBA Committee on Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, Managing Partner of Vidar Law Firm. The report was presented by Dmytro Nikiforov, Member of the UBA Committee Council and Partner at Bargen.
