The UBA Committee discussed the new AMCU methodology and foreign investment screening

On November 19, 2025, the UBA Competition Law Committee held an online working meeting to discuss current issues of competition law and foreign investment regulation. The event brought together legal professionals, business representatives, and industry experts.

During the meeting, participants discussed two key topics:

1.    The draft Methodology for determining the product market and the monopoly (dominant) position of economic entities, published by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Experts analyzed the AMCU's proposed approach, its alignment with European practices, and its potential impact on competition law enforcement.

2.    The draft law on screening foreign direct investments. Participants discussed the main provisions of the draft law, its significance for national security, and possible challenges for foreign investors.

The event was moderated by Oleksandr Nagornyi, Head of the UBA Competition Law Committee and Counsel at Sayenko Kharenko.

The meeting was held in Ukrainian and served as a platform for meaningful professional dialogue that will contribute to the further improvement of Ukraine's competition legislation.
