At the UBA’s request, Ukrainian advocates have been exempted from the second part of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) — the regulatory body for solicitors in England and Wales has given the Ukrainian advocates an agreed exemption from passing the second part of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). Earlier, the Ukrainian Bar Association appealed to the SRA to provide Ukrainian advocates with such an opportunity.

The agreed SQE2 exemption is available for lawyers who are advocates, i.e. have a license to practice law.

Instructions on how to apply for the agreed SQE2 exemption can be found at this link.
