Jessup Ukraine teams seek assistance in financing the trip to the International and European Rounds

The Ukrainian law students who participate in the 2023 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition seek assistance in financing the trip to the International Rounds (Washington D.C.) and the European-Friendly Rounds (Geneva, Switzerland).

Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest moot court competition. Now in its 64th year, the Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition for law students, with participants from nearly 700 law schools in about 100 different countries and jurisdictions. Ukrainian teams always qualify for the top 40 teams and the best result is 9th place.

The 2023 Jessup Ukraine teams seek approximately USD 17 060 to cover the trip to the International Rounds and the European Friendly Rounds.

"Generally, we would approach Ukrainian law firms and businesses for their support. However, in connection with the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukrainian business including the legal one faces hard times. In this regard, we have to turn to European firms for their support”, says Masha Stolbova, Jessup Ukraine National Administrator.
