Sayenko Kharenko Launches Fifth Annual “Assessment of Business Security in Ukraine”

Sayenko Kharenko law firm, General Partner of the UBA, in partnership with SK Security, the Association of Corporate Security Professionals of Ukraine, the Diia.City Residents’ Association and the Ukrainian Council of Defence Industry announces the launch of its fifth annual “Assessment of Business Security in Ukraine”. The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, ASIS UKRAINE, CEO Club Ukraine, CGPA and Safe Ukraine 2030 are providing information support for the project.

Last year’s findings revealed that 80% of companies increased their corporate security spending, while the number of businesses establishing internal security divisions or engaging specialised firms grew by 12%. The top three crisis situations faced by Ukrainian businesses in 2024 were mobilisation (84% of respondents), talent drain (68%), and unlawful actions by state authorities (51%).

The study tracks evolving threats to business operations—from cyberattacks and energy security to logistics challenges and personnel protection. Results enable companies to benchmark their security approaches against market peers and identify potential vulnerabilities.

“Business security today extends far beyond physical protection. It’s a comprehensive system encompassing security risk management, economic and financial security, cybersecurity, data protection, personnel safety, and crisis preparedness. Our research provides a real-time picture of current challenges and shows how companies are responding,” says Serhiy Pogrebnoy, Partner at Sayenko Kharenko and Co-owner of SK Security.
