The Ukrainian Bar Association is stunned by the tragic news of the death of Oleksandr Polivodskyy, a UBA member, PhD, lawyer, partner of the Sofiya Law Firm, who died in the combat zone in the east of Ukraine.

Oleksandr Polivodskyy devoted more than 20 years to advocacy. He was a specialist in agrarian and land law, real estate law and litigation. He also taught at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy".

Mr. Polivodskyy joined the UBA in 2006. In the past, he was a member of the Council of the UBA Committee on Agrarian Law, repeatedly participated in the Association's events.

Oleksandr Polivodskyy stood up for the defense of Ukraine on the very first day of the full-scale Russian invasion. He died on April 19, 2023 while performing combat missions in Luhansk region.

The Ukrainian Bar Association expresses sincere condolences to the family and friends of Oleksandr Polivodskyy.
