UBA and UN Global Compact in Ukraine launch a transparency and integrity initiative

On December 9, the Ukrainian Bar Association and the UN Global Compact in Ukraine signed a framework agreement to establish a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering trust in the rule of law and transparency across Ukraine. The signing of the agreement took place at the initiative of Olga Terefenko, Chair of the UBA Compliance Committee.

The initiative's goal is to unify efforts in promoting anti-corruption measures and developing transparent practices. This includes coordinating actions to enhance respect for the rule of law and actively engaging civil society in reform processes.

The agreement was signed by Mykola Stetsenko, UBA President, and Tetiana Sakharuk, Executive Director of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, who will serve as the initiative's coordinator. In this role, she will ensure a neutral platform for dialogue among participants, providing expert, logistical, and human resource support.

Both parties have committed to upholding principles of integrity and transparency in their activities.

This agreement lays the groundwork for advancing transparent practices within Ukraine's legal community and sets a new standard for collaboration between business and civil society. The UBA and the UN Global Compact are confident that their joint efforts within the initiative will catalyze positive change throughout the country.
